An eclectic house designed by A. Pirie with Colonial revival detailing. The house features the use of terra cotta for the balusters, shields and pillar caps and is rare in Calgary. The property retains its original through lot configuration and the house siting with its extensive deep front yard is characteristic of the early Mount Royal district. It was home to many prominent Calgarians including: Oscar Devenish & Wm. Herron (considered ‘father of the oil industry’).
