Jane’s Walk
Walking to engage the community and connect with neighbours is not new. But technology and human creativity are constantly evolving this realm. Continuing to encourage people to share stories and discover unseen aspects of the cityscape.
An urbanist and activist who introduced ground-breaking writings that championed a community-based approach to city building was Jane Jacobs (1916-2006). Jane’s Walk is a global event of free walking tours held each May.
Jane’s Walk Calgary will be held this year between May 3-5, 2024. Learn more about this event or the organization behind it – The Federation of Calgary Communities.
